Healthcare professionals and medical students are often the target of the pharmaceutical industry’s marketing activities. But how does pharmaceutical marketing affect prescribing and dispensing decisions? Through a series of webinars and other tools, we provide information on pharmaceutical marketing, and what this means for healthcare professionals as well as considerations for civil society representatives.
So far, our webinars have focused on unbiased information on medicines and why this is needed, how medical students are pushing for industry regulation on campus, and how pharmaceutical marketing is using online platforms. For our upcoming webinar, we are focusing on how we can successfully ensure that pharmaceutical marketing does not encroach on decision making, and considerations for students and healthcare professionals in the future.
Join us for a free Zoom webinar for students and healthcare professionals about pharmaceutical marketing, including:
– What have been successful actions taken against pharmaceutical promotion?
– How are guidelines to protect us from pharmaceutical marketing biased?
– How can students and healthcare professionals become more involved in this movement?
Hosted by Paul Scheffer, President of Formindep.
