Janneke van Oirschot

Janneke provides support on HAI’s projects about access to sexual and reproductive health commodities, internationally-controlled essential medicines and snakebite antivenom.

She is a mixed-methods researcher in global health with a particular interest in patient-provider relationships and participative research methods. Prior to working at HAI, she has studied the involvement of religious communities in South-African townships in HIV prevention and care with the Christian Aids Bureau for Southern Africa, and decision making processes of individuals with dementia and their care networks in the USA with the Burton Blatt Institute, which provided her with valuable research experiences in public health.

Janneke holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences and recently graduated from the research Masters in Global Health, at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
