The use of TRIPS flexibilities has been shown to be an effective policy intervention to improve access to health technologies. While some, including parallel imports, are generally accepted, others, such as compulsory licenses, are exposed to stronger opposition from various stakeholders. We invite you to join us for a discussion on civil society’s role in maximising the potential of TRIPS flexibilities as a tool to improve access to health technologies. Specifically, we will share research and experiences from experts advocating for TRIPS flexibilities in different jurisdictions and map out ways CSO partners can collaborate in ongoing advocacy efforts around use of flexibilities.
