Speakers
Hannah van Kolfschooten – PhD researcher and lecturer at the Law Centre for Health and Life (LCHL), University of Amsterdam. She is also a PhD fellow at the Amsterdam Institute for Global Health and Development (AIGHD). The topic of her PhD research is EU regulation of algorithmic decision-making in public health and health care and focusses on safeguarding patients’ rights. Next to her research activities, she works as a consultant on medical AI regulation at Health Action International.
Sofia Palmieri – PhD student at Gent University within Metamedica research group. After receiving a Master’s Degree in Law (magna cum laude) from the University of Bologna, she spent a period of study at KU Leuven. Recently, She started as co-chair of the young scholar interest group of the European Association of Health Law. Her research aims to study a regulation for the safe, patient centred and evidence-based use of Artificial Intelligence in the medical field.
