Paul is a Political Science and Law student in his final year at the University of Münster. In 2015 he joined Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM) an international student organization advocating for equitable and affordable access to essential medicines and a responsible and sustainable use of publicly funded medical innovations. At UAEM Paul served as a member of the European Coordinating Committee from 2017-2018 and is coordinating the organizations advocacy in Germany since 2017. In his work he focusses on the role of universities and public research institutions in medical research and development and the use of licensing policies for an equitable technology transfer. His scientific interests include political economy, patent law and mission-oriented public innovation policy.

Paul joined the board in 2020.
