The winners of the 2019 Helen Clark- JoPPP Award for Pharmaceutical Policy and Practice Research have been announced! We are thrilled that HAI Senior Projects Manager, Marg Ewen, is this year’s joint recipient, alongside Sabine Vogler of the Austrian Health Institute.

The Award, named after Helen Elizabeth Clark, former Prime Minister of New Zealand, now in its second year, recognises the talents of exceptional researchers who are making a significant contribution to the field of pharmaceutical policy and practice.

Marg joined HAI in 2000, and ever since her peerless expertise has provided pricing policy advice to the government and others in numerous countries around the world. In doing so, she has also contributed extensively to building capacity of countless others to carry out their own pricing surveys.

Marg also spearheads the Addressing the Challenge and Constraints of Insulin Sources and Supply (ACCISS) Study, which works to identify and address the inequities and inefficiencies in the global insulin market.

Congratulations to Marg and Sabine on this great (and well-deserved) honour!
