Renee’s passion for contributing to a world in which every person has the right to receive safe medicines for a reasonable price drove her to join Health Action International in 2009.
Within her diverse portfolio, Renée provides administrative coordination for the International Medicines Transparency Alliance (MeTA) Secretariat, a role that Health Action International shares with the World Health Organization. In this role, she maintains rapport with the seven countries participating in the MeTA project and coordinates, amongst other things, meetings and funding transfers. In addition to this, Renée also handles a wide variety of human resources functions in the office.
Prior to joining Health Action International, Renée worked as an editor at the Dutch-language medicines periodical, Geneesmiddelenbulletin. Originally from The Netherlands, she holds a degree in Media and Information Management (marketing major) and speaks Dutch and English.
