Jess is the project assistant to the ACCISS Study, responsible for providing logistical and administrative support to the ACCISS team.
Jess interned at Hope for Children charity in London, which works with local partners in East Africa, India and the Philippines to provide support to society’s most vulnerable children and mothers. She was involved in providing women’s empowerment workshops in Uganda for refugees and pregnant teenage girls. Such experiences have led her to HAI, and the ACCISS Study, where enabling people to be able to take control of their health and wellbeing is central to their values.
Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Jess is a recent graduate from Leiden University with an MSc in Political Science and has a BA in European Studies from Maastricht University.
