Birte Bogatz-Mander

The essence of public relations is ‘do good and talk about it’, so what could be better than communicating on behalf of Health Action International, an NGO that really wants to make change for good? As a passionate specialist in health communications, Birte is pleased to contribute the professional skills she has developed during her seven years’ of experience to extend HAI’s efforts in making medicines more accessible.

Having started as a staff member of the Communications Department of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, Birte broadened her skills in health communications as public relations consultant in a Frankfurt-based communications agency that specialised in healthcare. There, she led the client relationship for one of the biggest OTC-generic drug manufacturers in Germany, gaining in-depth knowledge on corporate, brand and product communications. Live communication (events and workshops), digital communication (web content, social media, apps) and communication via classical channels (print, radio, video), as well as building and maintaining media relations, were an integral part of her work.

Birte holds a Master in History and Gender Studies from the Humboldt University of Berlin and graduated as a Communications Manager at the German Press Academy.
