Emma Shiffman, BSc
Emma is a Communications Assistant at Health Action International (HAI), working closely with HAI staff to raise awareness of our work in all project areas. In addition to updating social media, Emma assists with managing events and editing the publications that HAI produces. Emma is passionate about bringing attention to important public health issues and working towards enabling policies that serve all people everywhere.
Before coming to HAI, Emma completed her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science, Life Science, and Cognitive Science with a minor in Statistics. In addition to her degree, she served as a Research Assistant for a PhD project on medically unexplained physical symptoms. In this position at Erasmus Medical Center, she gained valuable experience in data collection, interpretation, and analysis in the field of public health.
