As a political scientist with a specialisation in European Union (EU) policy, leads our European work on regulatory issues, the rational use of medicines, and good governance. In addition to issuing recommendations to improve drug evaluation and safety monitoring, conducts advocacy campaigns to increase support for the full disclosure of medicines safety and efficacy data, and for better regulation of pharmaceutical marketing. She also advocates for EU medicines policy-making processes to be transparent, inclusive of civil society, and independent from commercial interests that can override public health interests.

Before joining Health Action International in 2013, worked as a Policy Advisor for Siemens AG’s Representation Office in Brussels. She also completed internships at the European Patent Office, where she monitored EU developments on intellectual property rights, and the newspaper, La Vanguardia, where she worked as a journalist for the local and international news sections. holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration, a Master of Science in International and European Politics, as well as a further Master’s in Journalism. Originally from Spain, she is bilingual in Catalan and Spanish, fluent in English and also speaks intermediate French and basic German.
